Johanna Thomas joined District 241 in 2005. Her teaching career began in 1989 in Casa Grande, Arizona where she taught High School Special Education. Johanna also taught several years of elementary and special education. She received her degree in Elementary and Special Education from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona and later earned her Master in Educational Leadership there. Previously, Johanna was the Assistant Principal at Albert Lea High School, and the Principal of Halverson Elementary School for 3.5 years. Johanna was named Southeast Minnesota Association of Secondary School Principals Assistant Principal of the year in 2014.
